A round is roughly 6 seconds of gameworld time.

During a round, all characters take one turn, in order of initiative

During their turn, a character may perform one simple action (no cards required) and unlimited (with reason) free actions.

While they have cards to do so, they may make standard actions.

At the end of their turn, they replenish their hand from the deck to its proper size.

Outside of their turn, players may perform certain reactions, like dodging, spotting, soaking, etc. and spend cards to do so if they choose. However these cards are not replenished until the end of their next turn.

A character may choose to delay their initiative to act simultaneously with another character. In this case, actions for all characters should be declared first, cards played face down, then resolved when cards are revealed.
